Notes
Drawn for the Chicago Tribune September 30, 1907. This is a set of 2 paint by numbers editorial cartoons by editorial cartoonist, John T. McCutcheon. His editorial cartoons appeared on the front page of the Chicago Tribune. They first appeared on an annual basis in 1912 and these ran every fall until October 1992 when they were deemed politically incorrect and offensive. McCutcheon was inspired by his boyhood days growing up on a farm in Indiana. He imagined the corn stalks as tepees and the swirling smoke as "Indians". Each measures approximately 15 3/4" x 11 3/4".
